The 2026 theme is Candyland Adventures, and the parade rolls through the downtown historical district on a Saturday afternoon. Parades like this are an easy outing for children of every age: bring a blanket or folding chairs, arrive early to claim a curbside spot along the route, and plan for street closures and limited parking downtown. The chamber's page publishes the route map; watching from the curb is free. ## Similar picks in San Diego - [75th Annual Jaycees Christmas Parade (Escondido)](https://grassyknees.com/san-diego/activities/75th-annual-jaycees-christmas-parade-escondido--listing-130b11490a48e66eb8912561) — Sat, Dec 5 · 6:00 PM · Grand Avenue parade route, Escondido · checked Oct 13.
