Named after the town from Dr. Seuss's Grinch story, it is a free community night for all ages: every guest gets a free dinner plate, and there are raffles, entertainment and games through the evening. It runs from 5 to 8 PM, so families can come straight from work and school. The center's events page asks participants to pre-register on the city's SDRecConnect website, so check there before you go; the page lists no fee for this dinner. ## Similar picks in San Diego - [Winter Wonderland Festival — California Center for the Arts, Escondido](https://grassyknees.com/san-diego/activities/winter-wonderland-festival-california-center-for-the-arts-escondido--listing-d4558f60a446ba2e2c6cd245) — Sat, Dec 5 (+1 more date) · 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM · California Center for the Arts, Escondido · Free · checked Oct 16.
