Families and neighbors of all ages share a free dinner plate, and the evening adds raffles, entertainment and games, making it a relaxed way to celebrate the season with the community around the Encanto neighborhood's recreation center. The event runs from 5 to 8 PM and costs nothing. The center asks all participants in its events and programs to pre-register on the city's SDRecConnect website, so it is worth checking there ahead of time. The same center hosts a Whoville-themed winter dinner in December. ## Similar picks in San Diego - [Teen Friendsgiving at Oceanside Mission Branch Library](https://grassyknees.com/san-diego/activities/teen-friendsgiving-at-oceanside-mission-branch-library--listing-8356eabd14cdd82b4809953b) — Fri, Nov 20 · 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM · Oceanside Public Library - Mission Branch Library · Ages 13–17 · checked Oct 20.
