## About

The City of Solana Beach and the La Colonia Community Foundation host a second neighborhood tree lighting at historic La Colonia Park. Over two hours, families share sweets, treats and Mexican hot cocoa; the mayor and City Council light the tree, and Santa and his elves are scheduled to arrive at 5:20 pm, when children can visit with him and share their wish lists. It is a free, family-friendly community gathering and a smaller alternative to the city's Fletcher Cove lighting a week earlier. Festivities start at 5:00 pm sharp, so arrive on time if you want to see Santa come in.
