Families gather with friends and neighbors for the lighting of the tree and can take in the holiday displays and festive touches set up throughout the park. Local community groups give festive performances, and caroling returns along a portion of Visitacion Avenue, with more details still to be shared. To warm up there is hot cocoa or cider with cookies, and Silverspot Nursery School serves wine and beer. The city's calendar describes the festival as a tradition held on the first Sunday in December in Community Park, which is also home to the town's main playground, a gazebo and picnic tables. The department points to the Brisbane Parks and Recreation Instagram and Facebook pages for updates as the date approaches. The page does not mention tickets or a fee. ## Similar picks in San Francisco - [Hercules Holiday Tree Lighting](https://grassyknees.com/san-francisco/activities/hercules-holiday-tree-lighting--listing-6b5a1f68157ba038b68b12ff) — Sun, Dec 6 · 3:30 PM · Hercules Community Swim Center · All ages · Free · checked Oct 16.
