The course mixes grass fields, park paths and city streets; families with strollers or dogs start at the back of the pack. Children 8 and under have their own Kids Run presented by Liberty Gymnastics at 9:15 AM, after the 8:00 AM 5K, and pick up their packets at the Liberty Gymnastics table on race morning. A family 4-pack registration makes it cheaper for a household to enter the 5K together, and every 5K participant receives a tech shirt and a medal. Registration is capped at 2,000 people; everyone on the 5K course needs a paid entry except children 2 and under riding in a stroller. The race runs rain or shine and there are no refunds. Packet pickup is Nov 24–25 at Sports Basement in Walnut Creek or 6:45–7:45 AM on race morning at the park. ## Similar picks in San Francisco - [Moraga Turkey Trot (5K and 1.5-mile family run/walk)](https://grassyknees.com/san-francisco/activities/moraga-turkey-trot-5k-and-1-5-mile-family-run-walk--listing-08e7a007ba2f8b2885304cd0) — Thu, Nov 26 · 8:05 AM – 10:00 AM · Moraga Country Club (cart path) · All ages · From $39.50 · checked Oct 27.
