Local artists create installations in the Davies Symphony Hall lobby, so arrive early to walk through them with children. On stage, conductor José Luis Gómez leads a program of Mexican and Latin American works. It includes Arturo Márquez's Danzón No. 2, Moncayo's Huapango, Chávez's Toccata for Orchestra and a world premiere, El baile de la Catrina by Luis Farfán Carrillo. Violinist Francisco Fullana is the soloist, with salterio players David Hernández Pozos and Claudio Israel Vázquez.
