Led by SF Ballet teaching artists and School faculty, each session introduces the characters, story, music and choreography of the company's Nutcracker through a ballet warm-up and dance-along choreography, followed by crafts, photos with dancers and a chance to try on a tutu. The workshops are recommended for children 3 to 7, who must come with an adult; no dance experience is needed, comfortable clothes are best and costumes are welcome. They are a gentle way to prepare a child for a first Nutcracker at the Opera House. Workshops are held in the SF Ballet building at 455 Franklin Street, not at the Opera House entrance. ## Similar picks in San Francisco - [Sensory-Friendly Nutcracker Dance-Along — San Francisco Ballet, ages 5–12 and 13–22+](https://grassyknees.com/san-francisco/activities/sensory-friendly-nutcracker-dance-along-san-francisco-ballet-ages-5-12--listing-551ae290f7ce030ba9db91c6) — Sun, Dec 20 · 1:00 PM – 3:15 PM · San Francisco Ballet building (Chris Hellman Center for Dance) · Ages 5+ · From $25 · sensory-friendly · checked Oct 27.
