The event appears on the city's Recreation and Parks calendar and is listed as free. So far the city's listing gives only the date, hours, location and cost, with the program still to be posted, so families should check the city's event page closer to the date for the evening's activities and any street closures. The four-hour window starts right after school and work, which leaves time for young children to take part early and head home at a reasonable hour. The date falls on the first Friday of December, the same weekend as many tree lightings and parades across the East Bay, so it is worth planning around if you want to see several. ## Similar picks in San Francisco - [Holiday Frolic and Glow Parade — Downtown Martinez](https://grassyknees.com/san-francisco/activities/holiday-frolic-and-glow-parade-downtown-martinez--listing-b9ac05e1018ef3ae1c46e064) — Fri, Dec 4 · Main Street, Downtown Martinez · All ages · checked Oct 16.
