California State Parks – Pigeon Point Light Station SHP

California State Parks celebrates the 154th anniversary of the first lighting of Pigeon Point's Fresnel lens with an afternoon-into-evening event at the light station grounds on the San Mateo coast. The park page invites visitors to participate in lighthouse crafts and games, learn how the Fresnel lens works and join a walking tour around the historic grounds. The lighthouse tower itself is closed for restoration but can be viewed from the grounds; exhibits tell the story of the lighthouse and its keepers. Admission and parking at the park are free.
