From 3 to 6 PM families can join children's activities and pick up dinner from the food trucks parked for the event, and the afternoon builds to the annual ceremony that switches on the town's holiday tree. The city's Community Services Department runs the event, and the afternoon timing means the ceremony comes early enough for young children. If rain is expected, everything moves indoors to the Pinole Senior Center on Charles Avenue, so check the city's page on the day if the forecast is wet. Questions go to the Community Services Department by email. ## Similar picks in San Francisco - [Livermore Holiday Sights and Sounds Parade & Tree Lighting](https://grassyknees.com/san-francisco/activities/livermore-holiday-sights-and-sounds-parade-and-tree-lighting--listing-b9659973cd6129ea4a1ce084) — Sat, Dec 5 · 6:00 PM · First Street, Downtown Livermore · checked Oct 13.
