Families are invited to come in ugly sweaters, reindeer antlers and Santa hats; there are prizes for the best-dressed runners and holiday-themed raffles after the race. Children have their own registration category at a lower price, and medals go to the top three finishers in each age group and gender, starting with a Youth 12 & Under division and a 13–17 division, so school-age kids can race for a podium spot. Check-in opens at 8:00 AM and the race starts at 9:00 AM; walk-up registration is available that morning, but arrive early. Race shirts are an optional add-on rather than part of the fee. The run goes ahead rain or shine, so dress for the weather. ## Similar picks in San Francisco - [Holiday Run and Walk for Health with Kids Dash with Santa (Contra Loma, Antioch)](https://grassyknees.com/san-francisco/activities/holiday-run-and-walk-for-health-with-kids-dash-with-santa-contra-loma--listing-f7b836ed07f2498df4946d17) — Sat, Dec 12 · 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM · Contra Loma Regional Park (swimming lagoon parking lot), Antioch · All ages · With admission · checked Oct 28.
