Each weekly class has 30 minutes of instruction plus 30 minutes of supervised practice, and skaters earn a pin for each level completed. Youth skating classes for ages 3–17 start with Parent & Tot or Tiny Tot 1 (ages 3–5) or Beginner 1 / Pre-Alpha (ages 6–17) and continue through freestyle, ice dance and synchronized skating. A parallel youth hockey path runs from Hockey Tot and Pre-Hockey for ages 3–5 up to Hockey 3 and power skating; Hockey 1–3 require full gear. Series run about 12 weeks (winter series January–March, summer 10 weeks); registration opens 5–6 weeks before each series and late joiners can check the portal. A 10% sibling discount may apply, and Learn to Skate students get 10% off skates at the pro shop. ## Similar picks in San Jose - [Public Ice Skating at Sharks Ice San Jose](https://grassyknees.com/san-jose/activities/public-ice-skating-at-sharks-ice-san-jose--listing-db85bbbbf3d8ad328d364b8d) — Public sessions daily; times vary by day (see the session calendar on DaySmart).
