## About

The Rotary PlayGarden in the Guadalupe Gardens is San José's first all-inclusive play space, opened in May 2015 and expanded in June 2023 with more shade and play structures. Its dynamic play structures are designed to be accessible for all abilities, so children living with disabilities can play, discover and connect alongside their siblings and friends, and the garden setting next to the Guadalupe River ties play to the surrounding natural ecology. The $6 million playground was the Rotary Club of San Jose's centennial gift to the city and is maintained by Guadalupe River Park Conservancy staff and volunteers. Because it sits under the San José airport flight path, kites, balloons, drones and inflatables are not allowed; there are also no dogs, BBQs, glass or alcohol. Two picnic sites and a shaded pavilion can be reserved for birthdays. The Heritage Rose Garden, Historic Orchard and river trail are steps away.
