Theater at Seattle Center from December 11 to 20, directed by Deanna Martinez with a cast of performers aged 8 to 20. When the notorious Herdman kids, 'the worst children in the history of the world', crash the town's annual Christmas pageant, everyone braces for disaster; what unfolds instead is a funny and moving retelling of the Nativity story that asks about empathy and belonging and whose stories get told. With young actors on stage telling a story about kids, it suits school-age children as a holiday theater outing, and the Saturday, December 12 performance at 2 p.m. has English open captions. Seattle Rep's content advisory lists depictions of bullying, physical violence, smoking and mild profanity, and its For Families page gives age recommendations. Performance times and ticket prices appear in the theater's booking calendar; the box office answers questions at 206.443.2222 or by text at 206.565.2996. ## Similar picks in Seattle - [Sensory-Friendly Performances — A Charlie Brown Christmas at Taproot Theatre](https://grassyknees.com/seattle/activities/sensory-friendly-performances-a-charlie-brown-christmas-at-taproot-the--listing-749287624269b5725d86b7c4) — Fri, Dec 11 (+1 more date) · Taproot Theatre — Isaac Studio Theatre · All ages · sensory-friendly · checked Oct 27.
