Toddler Time is the Seattle Aquarium's drop-in morning for young children, held on select Sundays and Mondays from 9:30 am to noon in the Aquarium classrooms. Each weekend has a theme with crafts, songs, story time and hands-on activities pitched at little ones' development: Perks of Parks (Oct 18–19, marine protected areas and national parks, with a postcard activity), Blessed Samhain (Oct 25–26, the harvest festival that preceded Halloween), Patterns of the Ocean (Nov 1–2, pattern-recognition play), Happy Diwali (Nov 8–9, language, music and art for the festival of lights) and Salmon Tales (Nov 15–16, the salmon life cycle). It is free with Aquarium admission, needs no reservation, and families can stay as long as they like; an adult must stay with children at all times. The Aquarium posts allergen notes for each theme's materials (for example gluten, turmeric and chickpea flour at the Diwali session).
