## About

The Downtown Seattle Association's annual Tree Lighting Celebration fills Westlake Park on the day after Thanksgiving. From 11 a.m. there is family-friendly craft making, costumed characters, sweet treats and other surprises in the park. The day builds to the main event at 5 p.m., when the large holiday tree and star are lit, followed immediately by a fireworks show. The celebration is presented by Amazon. The same day the Westlake Park Holiday Carousel opens for the season next to the tree, so families can combine the two.
