For more than a century the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce has run a Halloween-night parade through downtown Edwardsville, with marching bands, school groups, organizations, entertainers and roughly 100 floats. The 2026 theme is 'Mother Road Memories', celebrating the Route 66 centennial. The parade leaves the Lincoln Middle School parking lot at Schwarz & West Streets at 6:30 p.m., travels east on St. Louis Street to Vandalia Street, then north on North Main Street, ending at High Street. Spectator parking is in the 'super lot' east of Main Street and on side streets; Newsong Fellowship (201 St. Louis Street) serves as an accessible warming center with restrooms 6:30-8:30 p.m.
