- St. Louis Public Library (Live at SLPL) with Ballet 314
Two Saturday showings at Carondelet Library in south St. Louis of Ballet 314's short children's Nutcracker, adapted from the St. Louis-inspired picture book "The Nutcracker & The World's Fair." Presented through the Live at SLPL series, the hour-long program lets young children hear the story, dance along with the performers and meet characters from the book and ballet. The library recommends it for ages 2 to 7. There is a morning performance at 10:30 and an afternoon performance at 2:00, so families can pick around naps. Music and sound are central to the show, with bright colors and some loud moments, and the audience sits close together.
