## About

A drop-in building afternoon at the Safety Harbor Public Library for kids ages 4 to 12. Children use LEGO bricks, wooden blocks and a variety of other open-ended building materials to design whatever they can imagine — towers, vehicles, cities — through free play. Library staff frame it as a way to build creativity, problem-solving, spatial thinking and teamwork, but for kids it is simply a chance to build with a big shared pile of pieces and other children. Families can come and go anytime between 1:00 and 3:00 PM, which makes it easy to fit around naps or a Saturday errand, and no registration is required. Younger siblings may want a grown-up close by around small pieces.
