The play is the comic, music-filled prequel to Peter Pan: a nameless orphan boy, the determined young Molly Aster and a crew of pirates and sailors race across the sea to protect a mysterious trunk from the villain Black Stache, and along the way the audience learns how Peter came to fly and never grow up. A small cast plays dozens of characters with simple, inventive stagecraft, which tends to delight older children and tweens who know the Peter Pan story. Thursday to Saturday evening shows start at 7:30 p.m., and weekend matinees at 3 p.m. are the easier choice with kids. The page also describes a relaxed performance with production adjustments for people with sensory sensitivities and families with younger children, open to everyone, though it does not say which date it falls on. Tickets are sold through the Straz Center. ## Similar picks in Tampa - [Annie – Patel Conservatory at the Straz Center](https://grassyknees.com/tampa/activities/annie-patel-conservatory-at-the-straz-center--listing-e8d8610f28a618d1b10053a2) — Fri, Nov 13 (+5 more dates) · Straz Center for the Performing Arts – TECO Theater · Paid · checked Oct 16.
