At Paspahegh Town families watch venison, turkey and other game roast over open fires and corn stews bubble in clay pots; at James Fort interpreters bake bread in a Devon oven and cook puddings, pies and pottage from 16th- and 17th-century recipes. Along the ships' pier, sailors' fare of salted fish, biscuit and dried foods is on show. Included with museum admission. ## Similar picks in Virginia Beach - [Fast Before the Feast Thanksgiving Day 5K](https://grassyknees.com/virginia-beach/activities/fast-before-the-feast-thanksgiving-day-5k--listing-326a5cd841917b716a1e25ec) — Thu, Nov 26 · 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM · Mariners' Museum Park (start across from Warwick High School), Newport News · From $35 · checked Oct 30.
