The festival also brings a tree lighting with carols, shopping, caroling and family activities around town, and the volunteer-run event gives back through its GIFTS program. The 2026 festival is on Saturday, December 5, rain or shine; the detailed 2026 schedule had not been posted yet, so check times before you go. Expect heavy crowds and plan to use the shuttle parking fields outside town. ## Similar picks in Washington, DC - [Christmas in Purcellville: Holiday Parade, Santa Pictures and LEGO Holiday Market](https://grassyknees.com/washington-dc/activities/christmas-in-purcellville-holiday-parade-santa-pictures-and-lego-holid--listing-474e8439a94d5118d36f0262) — Sat, Dec 12 · 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM · Loudoun Valley Community Center, Purcellville · checked Oct 24.
