Naturalists talk about the cultural traditions that honor death as a universal experience — in our own lives and in the natural world — and families can bring offerings for loved ones (people or pets) to add to a shared community altar exhibit. Children then explore themes of rest and renewal through culturally themed art activities. It is free and open to all ages; registration is through the county's online system. ## Similar picks in Washington, DC - [Pumpkin Painting: Creative Minds — Anacostia Community Museum](https://grassyknees.com/washington-dc/activities/pumpkin-painting-creative-minds-anacostia-community-museum--listing-6b616475ca27715d913919f2) — Sat, Oct 31 · 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM · Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum · All ages · Free · checked Oct 16.
