## About

Kalanidhi Dance, a D.C.-area company founded in 1991, introduces children to Kuchipudi, a classical dance form from South India. In this very interactive show, dancers demonstrate how rhythm, hand gestures and facial expressions tell a story, then bring the fable of the Monkey and the Crocodile to life through movement. Recommended for ages 5 and up, it plays two weekday mornings at the Smithsonian's Discovery Theater in the Ripley Center, at 10 and 11:15 am; tickets are required.
