After the concert everyone gathers around a bonfire outside to sing a few carols together. The evening is free, needs no tickets and is open to all ages, but seating is first come, first served and the county warns it usually fills to capacity, so plan to arrive before the doors open at 6:55 p.m. ## Similar picks in Washington, DC - [Herndon Holiday Tree Lighting & Sing-Along](https://grassyknees.com/washington-dc/activities/herndon-holiday-tree-lighting-and-sing-along--listing-4c61ac68c639927583144dde) — Sat, Dec 5 · 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM · Town Hall Square, downtown Herndon · All ages · Free · checked Oct 16.
