Visitors can browse and buy books, meet the writers and illustrators who made them, look at art, and watch live entertainment through the day. For families it is a chance for children to meet local authors in person and pick out new books; the organizer, The Author Space, runs the event and lists its details on its own site. ## Similar picks in Washington, DC - [Bull Run Festival of Lights 2026](https://grassyknees.com/washington-dc/activities/bull-run-festival-of-lights-2026--listing-5c547d83da16621b13afa6ec) — Nov 14 – Jan 3 · 5:30 PM – 10:00 PM · Bull Run Regional Park, Centreville · All ages · From $30 · checked Oct 16.
