Texas Performing Arts screens Disney's The Muppet Christmas Carol at Bass Concert Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2026, at 7 p.m. The Central Texas Philharmonic plays the film's score live alongside the screening. In the Muppets' take on Charles Dickens's holiday tale, Kermit the Frog plays Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of the stingy Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine). Gonzo narrates as Dickens with help from Rizzo the Rat, and Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and Robin the Frog as Tiny Tim fill out the cast. The score is by Miles Goodman, with songs by Paul Williams, who wrote 'Rainbow Connection'. It is a festive, family-friendly concert evening during the school holidays. Ticket prices are not shown on the event page; tickets are sold through the Texas Performing Arts ticket office.
