The national tour of Dolly Parton's Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol stops at Bass Concert Hall on Friday, Nov. 27, 2026, the day after Thanksgiving, at 5 p.m. The musical has music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and a book by David H. Bell. It moves Dickens's story to a 1930s mining town in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. There Ebenezer Scrooge owns the company town, and a Christmas Eve snowstorm brings his late partner and three ghosts to show him that love is the greatest gift. Texas Performing Arts recommends the show for ages 8 and up. Ticket prices are not printed on the event page; tickets are sold through the TPA ticket office.
