Cedar Park opens its holiday season by lighting the city's largest live oak, the Heritage Oak, with more than 30,000 lights. The evening at Heritage Oak Park includes festive holiday music and the chance for photos with Santa beneath the lit tree, making it a short, easy outing for families with young children on a school night. The event runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.; come early to see the switch flipped and expect a line for Santa photos. The city page does not mention a fee or registration. Organized by the City of Cedar Park Parks & Recreation department.
