Lockhart State Park has its own nine-hole golf course, and Ranger Steven runs an informal evening golf clinic for kids there this fall. Children can swing a club for the first time or get more specific coaching to improve their game; all experience levels are welcome and the club is open to all school-aged children. Bring your own clubs if you have them — otherwise some are provided first-come, first-served. Dress for the weather and bring water. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Meet at the Park Headquarters building at 6 pm; sessions last an hour.
