The City of San Marcos holds its Veterans Day Parade, themed "Honoring All Who Served the United States of America," on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Veterans groups, bands, drill teams, equestrians, youth teams and classic vehicles take part. Pre-parade activities start at 9 AM on the Hays County Courthouse lawn. From 9 to 10 AM the Kiwanis Club of San Marcos helps children decorate bikes, trikes and scooters, with free flags, streamers and sign materials. The children then ride into the parade with a Kiwanis escort and ride around the Courthouse. The Bicycle Brigade is for ages 5 and older, needs no pre-registration and includes a drawing for a free bicycle. The parade starts on Hopkins Street at CM Allen Parkway and passes the Courthouse; street closures begin at 7:30 AM. Parking is free for non-residents at City Park until noon, with more parking at the Old Fish Hatchery Building and Rio Vista Park.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Read in a browser. Parade start time is not printed; 9:00 is the pre-parade/Bicycle Brigade start. The courthouse street address (111 E. San Antonio Street) comes from a City of San Marcos document found through the sanmarcostx.gov site search; the Hays County site was behind a Cloudflare check. The email is the calendar entry's 'Contact Us' mailto link.
