Buda's 46th annual Budafest fills downtown with three days of holiday cheer. It opens Friday, December 4 at 6:30 pm with the tree lighting, an ornament market and 'Cocoa Jingle'. On Saturday, December 5 at 6:30 pm the Budafest Lighted Parade rolls along Main Street and is topped off with fireworks. All weekend there are kids' activities and a carnival at Buda City Park, a large craft and art vendor market in the Downtown Greenbelt (Saturday and Sunday), and free pictures with Santa daily under the downtown gazebo. Festival headquarters is the City of Buda Community Relations and Destination Services office at 303 Main Street.
