Manor's second annual Deck the Park kicks off the holiday season at Jennie Lane Park downtown. The evening builds to a countdown and the lighting of the city tree, with festive music and caroling, holiday characters to meet, a photo booth, and light refreshments including hot cocoa, coffee and cookies. It runs 7 to 9 p.m. on a Friday, so families with young children can come for the countdown and head home early. The city describes it as a community celebration for families, friends and neighbors; no admission fee is mentioned. Dress warmly and bring a camera for the photo booth and characters.
