On the first Friday afternoon of winter break, children 5 and up can explore hands-on science experiments led by medical student Kennedy Jones in the West Library meeting room in Spicewood. The one-hour session runs 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, and no registration is required, so it is an easy drop-in for school-age kids who are home for the holidays. Parents of younger children should plan to stay and help.
