On the first Saturday and first Sunday of each month, the National Aquarium opens 30 minutes early for visitors with disabilities and the people they come with, giving families a calmer, crowd-free start to the day before general opening. Early entry runs 9:30 to 10 a.m. in the Main Aquarium, after which guests can keep exploring the exhibits at their own pace. The aquarium asks families to buy tickets online for the earliest available time slot and to arrive at 9:30 a.m.; the early access itself is included with admission. This suits children who find noise and crowds hard, including autistic children and kids using wheelchairs or other mobility aids, along with siblings and caregivers.
