The Y in Central Maryland's Y Turkey Trot Charity 5K is held at six locations across central Maryland on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26. Families can walk or run. Registration includes a Turkey Trot shirt and chip timing for adults and youth, and medals go to the top three finishers in age groups that start at 9 years and under. Donations support Y food pantries and help families pay for Y preschool, camp and after-school programs. You do not need to be a Y member. Packet pick-up before race day is strongly encouraged because lines on Thanksgiving morning can be long. The Arnold race starts at 8:00 am at Greater Annapolis Y in Arnold. The course loops in and around the Anne Arundel Community College campus, starting and ending at the West Campus Drive entrance. Parking is free at the Y and on the college campus, but not on the course.
