Author Laura Smetana leads an engaging storytime in The Morton Arboretum's Children's Garden with her new picture book, My Lucky Leaf, followed by fall art activities in which children create their own lucky leaf. It runs Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Children's Garden (parking lot P-1, East Side). The event is included with Arboretum general admission; members enter free. Copies of the book are for sale. The Children's Garden has paved paths, accessible bridges and sensory supports, and a partly covered picnic area nearby.
