The Cincinnati Museum Center visits the Carrico/Fort Thomas Branch during Thanksgiving week with a hands-on introduction to the major Indigenous groups that have lived in the Ohio River Valley. Participants look at the tools, natural resources and skills these cultures relied on, place them on a timeline alongside civilizations around the world, and practise two archaeology techniques: quadrant mapping with artifacts and building a stratigraphy model that the group keeps. The program is aimed at tweens ages 8 to 14 and lasts an hour. Registration is required and opens on October 25 at 4:30 p.m.
