On Veterans Day the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden gives free admission to all members of the military, active and retired, and lets them buy up to six discounted admission tickets for their immediate family, which makes November 11 a good day for military families to visit together. Credentials are shown at the turnstiles, and guests with the discounted tickets must enter together with the service member who qualifies for free entry. Zoo hours that day are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The zoo offers the same military benefit on Memorial Day and July 4th, always by presenting credentials at the gate.
