Teens can earn Red Cross babysitting and first aid certification in this full-day course at the Martin Luther King Branch Library. Participants must attend all eight hours, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to receive the certification, and pizza is provided at the lunch break. The course is listed for ages 12 to 17 and requires registration; on October 16 the page showed 12 seats remaining. It is a practical choice for young teens who want to start babysitting for neighbors or family. Bring a water bottle and plan for a long Saturday.
