On the Thursday before Halloween, Schiller Community Center decorates its porch as a stop on the neighborhood trick-or-treat route. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. children in costume can pick up a treat, pose at a photo booth and look at the decorations. It is a short stop rather than a full party, so it fits easily into an evening walk around German Village and Schiller Park.
