The Works, Newark's history, art and science museum, sets aside a Saturday morning for visitors who do better with less stimulation. The lights are lowered, sound is reduced, and other accommodations are made around the museum. On Oct. 31 the Sensory Saturday activity is Spooky Sensory Activities, from 10 a.m. to noon. Entry is included with regular admission and free for members, so families can stay on to explore the museum's science and history galleries after the session.
