Hudson Gardens in Littleton runs a four-to-five-week Level 1 watercolor class on Monday afternoons in November that is designed for families to paint side by side. The class is a gentle introduction: participants learn basic watercolor techniques, explore color mixing and brushwork, and create simple nature-inspired paintings in the garden's Colorado Room. No experience is needed. First-time students get a sheet of watercolor paper plus shared paints, palettes, brushes and water containers on the first day; everything except the paper stays onsite, and returning students bring their own supplies. Each registration covers one person for all sessions (Mondays, November 2–30, 4:30–6:00 pm), so a parent and child each need a spot. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, while anyone 16 or older may sign up alone. The posted fee is $75–$80 for the series, with the lower price typically for Hudson Gardens members.
