Shay Arcella-Bohman (Cherokee Nation and Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma) leads a hands-on Cherokee corn husk doll workshop at the Ross-Phyllis Bigpond Branch Library. Participants listen to stories and learn some Cherokee history while making their own corn husk doll to take home. The 90-minute session is listed for all ages, from kids and teens to adults and older adults, so it works as a family activity during Native American Heritage Month. Registration is required because space is limited.
