At Denver Public Library's Green Valley Ranch Branch, the Kids Explore series gives 5- to 12-year-olds a space to try new things and share discoveries with friends. In this special My Art Workshop edition, children build their own sculptures out of wood scraps, working out how to balance, join and decorate odd-shaped pieces into something new. It is a hands-on after-school activity that suits kids who like building and tinkering as much as drawing. The workshop meets Thursday, November 12, from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in the Green Valley Ranch Community Room, and the library calendar lists another My Art Workshop on Wednesday, December 2 at the same time. The program is free; check the event page for registration. To request ASL, CART or other disability-related accommodations, contact programs@denverlibrary.org or call 720-865-1111 at least five business days before the program.
