An hour-long family performance of traditional Aztec (Mexica) danza by Grupo Huitzilopochtli, a Colorado group founded by Capitan Raul Chavez, who brought his ancestors' ceremonial dances from Mazatlán in 1969 and kept an open door for anyone wishing to learn. Part of Lone Tree Arts Center's Passport to Culture series, which introduces children to arts and cultures from around the world; recommended for families with children 12 and under. The regular show is at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 15; a sensory-inclusive performance follows at 4:00 p.m. with lower sound, raised house lights, a quiet room and hand-waving instead of clapping.
