The Stratford Branch Library in Highlands throws a family Halloween party on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m., pitched as just spooky enough for little ones. Children decorate their own 'pumpkin patch' brownie, make a Halloween-themed craft, watch a family-friendly spooky movie and show off their outfits in a costume contest. Come dressed up; treats are part of the fun. It is a relaxed after-school option for families in east Harris County who want a low-key Halloween celebration indoors.
