At the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center on Saturday, December 5, 2026, families can make holiday decorations and gifts from natural materials in one of two 90-minute workshops (11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. or 1–2:30 p.m.). With hands-on guidance and materials such as grapevine, branches, berries and pinecones, participants build a wreath, ornaments and handmade gifts to take home. The class is open to ages 5 and up, and minors must be accompanied by an adult, so it works well as a parent-and-child project. Fees are per person: $27 for members, $42 for nonmembers, and $11 for children ages 5–12. Wear clothes that can get messy and register in advance online.
