On Saturday and Sunday, October 24–25, 2026, Children's Museum Houston runs a trick-or-treat weekend inside the museum. Children collect candy at five stations spread through the building, and the themed activities lean on hands-on science and making: crafting sparkly glitter slime in the Power Science Lab while learning how polymers link up, designing and building a DIY haunted house in the Chevron Maker Annex, and creating Halloween faces with washable face crayons in the Design Studio. Everything runs all day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is included with general admission, so costumes are welcome but not required. A low-key indoor alternative to neighborhood trick-or-treating for preschool and elementary kids.
